Huge emergency service response after three injured in large brawl in south Manchester

There has been a massive police response in Wythenshawe this evening after three people were injured in a large ‘battle’. Police were called to the disturbance on Floatshall Road in Baguley shortly before 4.30pm this evening (Sunday May 12).

Locals reported a total of 11 police vehicles and three ambulances flooding the street afterwards. Three people were injured and taken to hospital, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed.




Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road was closed near the junction with Hall Lane as specialist crime scene investigation (CSI) officers carried out inquiries inside the cordon, which remains in place this evening.

The video of the incident that was shared with Manchester Evening News it shows a large group of people fighting on the road. Some of those involved appear to be inside a red car that is attacked.

The vehicle appears to have a smashed windshield and screams can be heard as the fighting continues.
