Expected 2024 local election results for every council in England

Elections take place in England and Wales on Thursday, with millions of people set to cast their ballots.

In England, there are 107 councils that hold elections, with 11 mayoral contests. There are also 37 elections for police and crime commissioners in England and Wales, as well as a vote for new members of the London Assembly.

Polls close at 10pm on Thursday night and a number of areas are expected to start counting immediately. Dozens of results will be announced in the early hours of Friday morning, with the rest to come later in the day and over the weekend.

The results of the London Assembly elections will be declared on the afternoon of Saturday 4 May, but exact timings for all constituencies are not currently available.

The elections are the last major electoral test for all political parties before the general elections, which will take place at the end of this year.

Here are all the estimated timetables for all council, mayoral and police and crime commissioner elections in England and Wales. All times are estimates based on information compiled by the PA news agency and are subject to change
