Club ‘accelerate to reach deal’ with Leeds for Whites – Fee and payment method set

After completing the permanent signing of Marc Roca from Leeds United, Real Betis want to return to Elland Road again for Diego Llorente.

Two days ago, Estadio Deportivo said Real Betis were working to find a deal with the Albion after agreeing personal terms with the 30-year-old.

On Tuesday, ABC Sevilla reported that the La Liga side had made significant progress to sign the Leeds defender. They also said they hope to have him in the squad for the start of pre-season on July 8.

Mucho Deporte provide more updates on the Andalusian club’s efforts to try and secure a deal for the centre-back.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side paid €4.5m to sign Roca and during negotiations with Leeds for the midfielder, they also talked about Llorente.

Taking advantage of these contacts, Real Betis are “accelerating to reach an agreement” with Leeds regarding the fee and payment method to buy the former Real Sociedad man. The fee could be around 4.5 million euros.

It is also claimed that the Leeds man wants a long-term contract and Real Betis are willing to meet his request. This would indicate that the two sides have yet to agree personal terms, despite an earlier claim from Estadio Deportivo to the contrary.

Wednesday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo claims that Real Betis want to “try to complete” the Llorente deal before next Monday. They are working to sort out a deal with Leeds.
