The new age beckons the Driftwood Hotel

The new age beckons the Driftwood Hotel

One of Cornwall’s most iconic cliff hotels is under new ownership.

The Driftwood Hotel, which boasts panoramic views of Gerrans Bay on the south Cornwall coast, has been sold by Christie & Co to a group of private investors with a guide price of £3m.

The hotel has 14 comfortable rooms, a restaurant with three AA Rosettes and a three-bedroom owner’s house, along with landscaped gardens and approximately 5 acres of grounds leading to the private beach.

The property has been owned by Paul and Fiona Robinson for the past 22 years and has come to the market as they look to retire.

Paul Robinson said: “Although we have mixed emotions about leaving Driftwood, it has been an amazing journey and we would like to thank all our guests, many of whom have become friends over the years, for their support and of course our wonderful staff.”
