Bradford Bulls sign Super League midfielder as recruitment frenzy continues

Bradford Bulls have completed the signing of London Broncos midfielder James Meadows, Rugby League Live understands. The player is believed to have put pen to paper on a deal with club Odsal and will link up with the Bulls in 2025.

The 25-year-old established himself as a strong player in the Championship, starting his career with the Broncos but moving on to play more recently for the Batley Bulldogs. It was at Mount Pleasant where Meadows really found his feet, playing regularly for the West Yorkshire club during two seasons at the club. He was part of the Batley side that reached the Million Pound Game in 2022 and last year he scored 17 tries in 31 appearances. That earned him a Super League opportunity with London, playing 15 times so far this season, scoring two tries and producing two assists.

It’s yet another signing for Bradford, who have been on a signing spree of late, with their latest addition coming in the form of former prop Nathan Mason, who has signed an 18-month deal. The Bulls are also believed to have signed Halifax Panthers midfielder Joe Keyes for next season, while Jordan Lilley is under contract. Lee Gaskell is expected to leave.

The Bulls are currently in a strong position in the race for a play-off spot. Eamon O’Carroll’s side are currently fourth in the Championship, just two points behind second-placed Sheffield Eagles. They have recently signed a number of players from overseas, including Hull FC’s Franklin Pele.
