He got tired of waiting for Royal Mail so he took matters into his own hands

A man fed up with waiting for a delayed post took matters into his own hands with the help of his MP.

David Foster lives in Kirkby and claims he has been experiencing problems with mail delivery in recent months. After making numerous complaints, he contacted his then local MP, George Howarth, who contacted Royal Mail on his behalf.

After his MP’s intervention, David said the delivery service improved and he started receiving mail regularly and in a timely manner.

However, three weeks ago David requested important documents from his pension provider, but after several days of waiting he said those documents never arrived. In fact, he claims he waited two weeks just in case there was an understandable delay with the service.

Tired of waiting and worried about where the sensitive documents might be, David contacted his pension provider who assured him that the documentation had been sent. After explaining that he had waited two weeks and received no message, the pension provider agreed to another mailing and confirmed that the information would be sent mid last week. However, David claims that his documents still haven’t arrived and he doesn’t know where they are.

The ongoing problems with his mail led to further concerns for David as he discussed the potential issue of postal votes for the upcoming election tomorrow, July 4. He tends to vote at the local polling station, but is worried about people like his elderly mother who rely on the postal vote system.
