Help was needed to breathe new life into the historic Wiltshire site

Property developer Innox Mills is calling on Trowbridge traders to get involved to help redevelop the former Bowyers factory.

The company says there will be two to three years of work available for anyone who wants to join their team working on new and existing buildings.

Innox Mills won approval from Wiltshire Council last year for 255 new homes, a convenience store and up to 872 square meters of new retail space.

The site is next to Trowbridge railway station and has been derelict since 2008 when Bowyer’s factory closed.

Managing director Jonathan Dean said: “We are looking for more tradespeople to join the team to help bring some of Trowbridge’s historic buildings back to life.

“There is plenty of work on offer so if you are interested please get in touch and one of our team will get back to you.”

He is particularly looking for carpenters, joiners and plasterers.

They will work at 7-9 Stallard Street at Innox Place and the existing historic buildings in the masterplan.

Trowbridge Town Council leader Stewart Palmen said: “It would be great to get as many local traders involved as possible.”
