LIVE: Huge fire breaks out near Newquay holiday park

A fire broke out at a large barn near Hendra Holiday Park this evening. Emergency services raced to the scene on the outskirts of Newquay.

The road between Trencreek and Lane is closed, as is the A392 at the Morrisons roundabout. At this time, we do not know if anyone has been injured or needs rescue.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service released a statement and said: “We are currently responding to a large barn fire on the outskirts of Newquay. Crews from @NewquayCFRS @PerranporthCFRS @StColumbCFRS @StDennisCFRS @LauncestonCFRS @StAustellCFRS.
