Leicester City has been named a confident leader for people with disabilities

Leicester City Football Club is pleased to announce that it has been appointed as a Confident Leader for Disability.

– Leicester City achieved Disability Confident Leader status
– The achievement is the highest honor of the Disability Confident framework
– Schemes help employers make the most of the talents of people with disabilities and challenge behavior and cultures

The club’s work in this area in recent seasons has been recognized by the Disability Confident scheme, which helps employers make the most of the talents of people with disabilities and challenges behavior and cultures in businesses, networks and communities.

Achieving Leader status, Disability Confident’s highest honour, means the Club has put its Disability Confident self-assessment through external challenge and validation, which has scrutinized its recruitment processes, as well as the training and support it offers to current employees.

In addition, as a Disability Confident Leader, the club will now be able to act as an independent validator for other employers progressing to Level 3 or requiring re-accreditation.

Disability Confident is creating a movement for change, encouraging employers to think differently about disability and take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop people with disabilities and other health conditions.
