The Hull City striker is wanted by Birmingham City and Wrexham after his loan spell in the Championship

Ryan Longman is expected to leave MKM Stadium this summer. The Hull City forward is the subject of intense transfer speculation, with a number of Premier League clubs tracking the player.

Longman spent the 2023/24 season on loan with City’s Championship rivals Millwall. He scored three goals and registered a further three assists in his 35 appearances in all competitions for the Lions. Longman was one of their standout performers following the appointment of Neil Harris as Millwall shook off relegation woes to secure a mid-table finish.

A Daily Mirror report claims the Lions are interested in signing Longman on a permanent basis but face stiff competition for his signature. Birmingham City and Wrexham, two of League One’s top players with money to spend, are also among the clubs in the mix to land the winger, who has entered the final year of his contract with the Tigers.

When quizzed about the Longman situation last month, Harris told the South London Press “Longy has been brilliant for me. He has shown some excellent attributes to be a really, really positive attacking influence as a Millwall winger.

“I really enjoyed working with him. He is a brilliant character. He is a player I have kept in touch with and the door was open for Longy to definitely work with me and the football club in the future.

“Sometimes in football things can change quickly. Hull changed manager shortly after the end of the season and players may or may not be in the plans. There’s definitely been an ongoing relationship between Ryan and I in terms of what the future years might hold.”

Longman has been on the Tigers’ books since 2021,
