The UK’s best town for ‘seaside fun’, named because it offers holiday entertainment all year round

The city is also home to the second largest number of museums, including the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden and St Ives Museums.

Lyme Regis in Dorset secured third place on the list for its natural beauty and historic charm.

Lyme Regis scores well for its zoos and aquariums, mainly thanks to the Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium, which showcases local marine life and the town’s rich maritime history.

The Cornish town of St Ives, which boasts some of the cleanest coastline in the country, came second in the index.

Thousands of tourists flock to the area every year to enjoy the picturesque views of the rocky cliff and crystal clear waters.

The city of Cornwall has an oceanic climate and of all the seaside cities analyzed. It also has the lowest annual rainfall and the fewest average rainy days per year.
