WE Launches UK Strategic Advisory Board

This new initiative aims to provide external information and consultative support to WE Communications clients and staff through seminars, events and training.

Founding members of the agency’s strategic advisory board include Jane Wakefield, a former BBC technology reporter; Fiona Adshead, Chair of the Sustainable Healthcare Coalition; author Bernard Marr; Max Pemberton, NHS doctor and Daily Mail columnist; and Saeed Atcha, Chief Executive of Youth Leads UK.

The founding group will be accessible to customers such as Intel, FSC, Elsevier and Zscaler.

Laura Gillen, managing director of WE Communications UK, said: In today’s volatile business and political landscape, it’s critical that organizations not only be prepared for the unexpected, but think about what’s next.

Our strategic counsel will play a vital role in helping our clients and teams address pressing issues such as rapid technological advances, regulatory challenges and political instability.

In January, WE promoted deputy managing director Gillen to UK managing director, after Ruth Allchurch, WE’s regional managing director for EMEA, joined Ketchum as managing director of UK operations.

More recently, the agency announced two senior appointments for the EMEA region.

WE is ranked 66th in PRWeek UK’s top 150 consultancies after UK revenue rose nine per cent to £7.3m. in 2023.

The consultancy, which has offices in 21 cities globally, has worked with international clients including the Forest Stewardship Council, Honeywell and Microsoft.
