Leicester: Charged after stabbing in McDonald’s restaurant

A man has been charged after a stabbing inside a McDonald’s restaurant in Leicester.

Police were called to Market Street just after 05:00 BST on Tuesday after a man in his 20s was stabbed.

He suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital before being later discharged.

A 37-year-old man, of no fixed address, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and is due to appear before magistrates at a later date.
