Police officer faces questioning over ‘sexual misconduct’ allegations.

A Wiltshire police officer faces a hearing over multiple allegations of “inappropriate” sexual behaviour.

PC James Aubrey is due to appear at Wiltshire Police headquarters in Devizes on Monday, July 8, before a serious misconduct hearing chaired by Deputy Chief Constable Deb Smith.

PC Aubrey is alleged to have breached standards of professional conduct for officers six times between November 5, 2022 and April 9, 2023.

During this time, PC Aubrey is accused of having “sexual contact” with a colleague, known as Constable A, without her consent on six occasions.

Five of these reported breaches are said to have occurred while PC Aubrey was off duty, while another is said to have occurred while he was on duty and carrying out a mobile patrol with the constable.

PC Aubrey is also accused of acting in a “sexually inappropriate manner” towards this constable on five of those occasions.

Standards of professional conduct for police officers include acting with authority, respect and courtesy towards colleagues and members of the public.
