Norwich City striker Josh Sargent was forced off in the second half against Leeds United with an ankle problem, which could be a concern ahead of the second leg.

The Whites drew 0-0 back at Elland Road on Thursday after their first leg tie with Norwich City ended this afternoon.

Overall, it was not a game for the neutral at Carrow Road, with no goals to show for either team’s efforts.

Norwich 0-0 Leeds: deadlock means advantage for the Whites

Throughout the game, it looked like neither team was too keen on taking risks that left themselves exposed, which is a refreshing prospect from Leeds.

With nine goals conceded in the last three games of the season, Leeds getting a clean sheet from the game is a much needed boost for Leeds.

Neither side posed much of a threat to Angus Gunn and Illan Meslier though, so Daniel Farke will be hoping his side’s results improve for the second leg – and the same can be said for David Wagner.

Josh Sargent’s injury concern looms ahead of the second leg

Canaries boss Josh Sargent was unable to complete the game as he was substituted due to injury.

After the match, David Wagner shared an ankle problem for the forward that could be a concern for the second leg, via Adam Pope:

A Sargent wouldn’t be a massive blow for the second leg either

Wagner is correct in his comments that both sides canceled each other out and is well prepared for the second leg.

However, if they don’t have Barnes or Sargent in their lineup, they are already at a huge disadvantage trying to get out of their own half.

This lack of output is the same problem we have without Patrick Bamford and is a tough dilemma for both managers to deal with.
