Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 Specs Leaked Ahead Of Launch – Bike News

We expect the Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 to undercut its ADV sibling by some margin, likely to carry a sticker price of around Rs 2.30 – 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom).

The hype surrounding any new Royal Enfield launch is unreal and this is due to its strong global positioning as a motorcycle brand. Hence, the Chennai-based bike maker is using its image to the best advantage and launching its next model in Spain. Scheduled to make its debut on July 17, the Guerilla 450 is the company’s next big bet in the middleweight space.

Based on the new generation Himalayan 450, Royal Enfield recently teased the Guerilla 450 on its social media handles, revealing a lot of details. Later, aired footage of a TV commercial for the 450cc roadster gave information about the bike’s color options, variants and features.

Now, a recent online media report has leaked some critical specifications about the Guerilla 450. According to a new report by Rush Lane, The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will measure 2,134 mm in length, 834 mm in width, 1,115 mm in height and will have a long wheelbase of 1,491 mm. This makes the Guerrilla 450 111mm shorter, 18mm narrower, 201mm shorter in height and 19mm shorter in wheelbase compared to the Himalayan 450.

short insert article Further, the report mentions that the Guerilla 450 weighs 183 kg (curbs), making it 13 kg lighter than the Himalayan 450 and just 2 kg heavier than the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. The report further suggests that the Guerrilla 450 will have a 120-section front and 160-section rear tire, which will most likely be wrapped around 17-inch alloy wheels.

As seen in earlier spy images and teasers, the Guerilla retains some Royal Enfield styling cues such as a round headlamp, circular offset instrument console and round rear-view mirrors. However, most of the components are brand new, such as the chiseled but muscular fuel tank, a floating tail section, one-piece seat, split grab rails, an underbelly skid plate and a drum exhaust pipe, just like the one seen in the Himalayas. 450.

In terms of features, the top trim will get the same all-digital instrument console as the Himalayan 450, which gets inbuilt Google Maps navigation and Bluetooth connectivity with call and text alerts, music playback and multiple ride modes. The lower-spec variants will come with a simpler semi-digital setup seen in the Meteor 350 and Super Meteor 650, which could get Tripper Navigation as an optional extra. Other expected features include LED headlights, LED clips, multiple ride modes and a USB charging port.

It’s safe to assume that the Guerilla 450 will use the same 452cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled Sherpa-series engine as the Himalayan, but the tuning will be different from the adventure one. According to the recent report, in the Guerilla 450 this engine will churn out 39.52 PS at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Although the power remains similar, in the Guerilla this engine could get a different engine mapping. Transmission duties will be handled by a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch.
