Growth Hub experts support a number of FREE programs Compliance demystified webinars held over the summer to help businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Cornwall Council’s Business Regulation Support Team will run online events focusing on topics such as net zero, starting and growing a business, planning permission and child employment.

Kirsty Miles-Musgrave, Investment Operations Manager of the Growth Hub, will be speaking at Start, prepare, grow webinar on July 24. She will join the Business Regulatory Support team to reveal the support available to companies, whatever stage of development they are at. During the webinar, attendees will discover the free startup and growth programs available, hear how they can keep their business safe for customers and staff with compliance tips, and understand how costly non-compliance can be.

Kirsty said: “This webinar is a great way to better understand the fantastic business support available through the Council and I hope it will help to boost confidence in those running businesses in the county.”

The first webinar, Net Zero – what is it and how does it relate to my business?, takes place on 9 July and will look at climate change, its impact on Cornwall and how businesses can reduce their carbon footprint.

The July 11 webinar, Business planning permission, it’s already sold out, but people can still request a replay.

The Employment of children the webinar takes place on July 17 and is open to businesses, parents, educators or anyone interested in child welfare.

The webinars will give attendees time to ask questions.
