Cornish Love Island contestant ‘disappears’ from villa

A Love Island contestant in Cornwall is causing a stir on the ITV show – but for a very unusual reason. Konnor Ewudzi, 28, joined the hit show as a bombshell ten days ago, but fans are all asking the same question.

It’s as if the St Austell rugby player and barber has received very little air time until now. Die-hard fans of the show accused the producers of cutting vital scenes as Konnor, the only male contestant who was not hitched, barely appeared on our screens.

Some have gone so far as to say that she left the show in secret, while asking where she went. Appearing occasionally in the background of clips, hardly any of his conversations have aired so far, despite being a main contender in Casa Amor.

The Cornwall native joined the villa on Monday (June 24) and has been single for a year and a half. Before changing his Instagram bio to “I’m off to find love in the @loveisland villa”, his Instagram read: “Cuts hair and chats jibber-jabber”, showing a glimpse of his charming personality.

But that’s not all for the dazzling Cornish man. Konnor works as a model, his social networks act as a portfolio for his talent and beauty, with posts from various photo shoots. Despite this, fans of the show have had very little chance to meet the contestant.

Viewers took to X to air concerns about the ‘missing’ and ‘disappearing’ Love Islander. Despite six new hot guys and gals being added to the mix in Casa Amor, Konnor hasn’t been shown to hook up with any of the single ladies so far.

On Tuesday (July 2) night’s episode, a challenge called Raunchy Racers saw the islanders getting cozy with the new contestants, but once again, Konnor didn’t show up. Among some of the comments were: “We can. We. We see. More. Of. Connor. Please. And. Thank you. #LoveIsland” and “Another night of pretending Konnor doesn’t exist? the show? #loveIsland.”

Another fan chimed in: “No, the producers must hate Konnor, why isn’t he getting airtime? Even the House guys get more airtime than him #loveisland”.

Last night (July 3) saw more of the same reaction, despite brief glimpses of the bombshell and some quick chats as he set eyes on Casa Amor girl Emma and shared a cheeky joke.

“Can we have a welfare check on Konnor, please?” asked a spectator. “Why haven’t we seen a single bit of Konnor this entire love house when he’s literally a main islander…who will he hook up with,” said another.

It’s as Harriet and Ronnie, the first couple to be dumped from the villa, told HeatWorld what the mystery contestant is really like. Harriett told the magazine: ‘He’s so cute, bless him. He was always very nice when I was in the villa.”

She said she felt she needed to “talk a little more” and “get her graft.” She said she fears she doesn’t feel a connection with anyone in the villa, something Casa Amor might change.
