Sheffield Wednesday are in a three-horse race with Swansea City and Oxford United in the hunt for a Premier League crown.

Sheffield Wednesday look like they could soon start making loan signings after already making six permanent signings this summer.

On Wednesday, Sheffield Wednesday announced the signing of Olaf Kobacki, who follows Ben Hamer, Max Lowe, Yan Valery, Svante Ingelsson and Jamal Lowe in signings for the Owls.

Danny Rohl is certainly overseeing a positive start to the summer transfer window and more signings are expected, with Charlie McNeill tipped to sign for Sheffield Wednesday following his release from Manchester United.

Elsewhere, the Owls are expected to re-sign James Beadle on loan from Brighton, likely becoming the club’s first loan signing of the summer.

Expect Sheffield Wednesday to make good use of the loan market this summer, with the Premier League youngsters likely targets for Rohl and co.

Sheffield Wednesday in race to sign Myles Peart-Harris at Brentford

Sheffield Wednesday were first linked with former Chelsea youngster Myles Peart-Harris in January and then again ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

Now, it has been revealed by Football Insider that Sheffield Wednesday, Swansea City and newly-promoted Oxford United have “made enquiries” to take the striker on loan this summer.

Peart-Harris, 21, spent time on loan with Portsmouth in the second half of last season, scoring twice in 12 League One games as Pompey won the title.

The Englishman is out of contract at Brentford next summer, although the Bees have the option to extend his stay by another year.

Why Sheffield Wednesday have a clear advantage in the Myles Peart-Harris race

Sheffield Wednesday have enjoyed a very promising start to the summer transfer window, with owner Dejphon Chansiri even winning praise from fans for his newfound ambition.

And when it comes to adding more players to their ranks this summer, Sheffield Wednesday may have an advantage.

The number of signings they have already made, the quality of the signings, Rohl and the new positivity around the club will go a long way in attracting players like Peart-Harris who have more options.

Not only that, but Rohl’s attractive playing style could be decisive if the decision on Peart-Harris’ future falls to Brentford, with Swansea potentially in the mix next season and Oxford United likely to be close to the side from below after their promotion.

Peart-Harris would add definite depth to the attacking ranks in S6 and coming into the Championship after a loan spell in League One would really test his mettle.
