‘Very difficult to promote’ Leeds United transfer warning as Whites’ decision causes concern

Leeds United have been warned they face a tough ask to win promotion next season if they let other key players leave Elland Road this summer. Wilfried Gnonto has been linked with exits.

Leeds’ decision to reject Brighton and Hove Albion’s bid for Georginio Rutter has silenced those doubters, reaffirming the club’s stance of trying to keep hold of their best talent now the issue of profit and sustainability has been resolved by moving Gray from 40 million pounds. at the Spurs.

It’s a point Gabriel Agbonlahor reflected on when he spoke to the Whites on talkSPORT recently. He said; “Listen, you don’t want to lose one of your young talents, do you? But the problems they have financially, the non-promotion have affected them.

“He has to sell. But I’m sure Archie Gray, even if he’d like to stay at Leeds, wants to go and play Premier League football. He’s like any young player. It could be your team and you’re in Leeds and through, but the chance to play for a big Premier League club, you can’t refuse.

“Then Leeds have to be very careful, you start selling all the best players, then it will be very difficult to get promotion next season.”
