Emma Roberts’ new movie is now available to watch on Prime Video

Emma Roberts’ new film Space Cadet is now on Prime Video if you’re in the mood for a laugh this weekend.

Written and directed by Liz W Garcia, the film sees Roberts play the little girl Tiffany “Rex” Simpson, who has always dreamed of walking in space. The only problem? She is not qualified in any sense of the word.

That is until her best friend Nadine (Poppy Liu) prescribes her request, and Rex enters NASA’s ultra-competitive astronaut training program. But can Rex get through this without blowing his cover?

The film also stars Tom Hopper, Gabrielle Union, Desi Lydic and Kuhoo Verma.

“The jokes feel tired. The actors mostly do their best, but the script too often leaves them miming the comedy rather than performing it.”

Mom’s Geeky

“Space Cadet feels like a 1990s movie in the best possible way. It’s a fun, romantic comedy – I don’t make them like that anymore.”

Screen Rant

“Space Cadet feels like a Disney Channel movie released 20 years too late, with its lackluster writing and story, despite Emma Roberts’ performance.”

The collider

“If Apollo 13 and Legally Blonde had an insufferable love child lacking the respective thrill and glamor of its prodigiously successful parents, it would be this pseudo-feminist NASA fan fiction.”
