South Yorkshire General Election 2024 results in full

Voters in South Yorkshire went to the polls in the 2024 general election.

New Members of Parliament are elected in constituencies across the county including Barnsley North, Barnsley South, Doncaster Central, Doncaster East and Isle of Axholme, Doncaster North, Penistone and Stocksbridge, Rawmarsh and Conisbrough, Rother Valley and Rotherham.




Other constituencies in South Yorkshire are Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough, Sheffield Central, Sheffield Hallam, Sheffield Heeley and Sheffield South East.

The shock summer general election was called by Rishi Sunak on May 22, with elections taking place in all 650 seats across the UK. Since the 2019 general election, major boundary changes affecting 90% of parliamentary constituencies have come into effect.

Before the election, a Conservative government had been in power in Parliament since 2010.

Polls closed for the 2024 general election at 10pm on Thursday 4 July, with counting taking place overnight. Results from across the UK are expected in the early hours of Friday morning.
