House on the market for £100,000 less than neighbors – but there’s a reason

A three-bedroom house is on the market as a blank canvas because there is no plaster on most of the walls. The house is up for auction with Auction House Birmingham & Black Country with a guide price of £195,000 on 15 May.

The pictures show a semi-traditional with a bay window to the front and a garage to the side similar to many other properties, but pictures from inside the property show that most of the rooms do not have plaster on the walls. The ceilings are also mostly missing, with insulation hanging from the top. There is a large garden that just needs a little work to tidy up.

The agents state: “Situated in a popular and sought-after residential area of Oldbury, close to schools and transport links, this traditionally styled semi-detached property offers something of a blank canvas.” They go on to add: “Having been taken back to bare brick, the property has required an extensive program of modernization which could ultimately result in a superb family home and is ideal for a builder or investor.”
