Only Kingswinford and South Staffordshire were held by the Tories.

Walsall was held by Labour, while Tory Wendy Morton was re-elected in Aldridge-Brownhills.

All three Coventry seats were held by Labour, with the party also winning North Warwickshire and Bedworth, Nuneaton and Rugby.

Defeat for long-serving Tory Michael Fabricant, who lost his Lichfield seat after 26 years to Labour. Neighboring Tamworth was held by Labour’s Sarah Edwards.

Conservative Andrew Mitchell was re-elected in Sutton Coldfield with a majority of 2,543.

Some significant wins in Shropshire and Worcestershire for Labour. They took Telford, Shrewsbury, Worcester and Redditch from the Tories.

The Lib Dems also did well, winning back North Shropshire, with Helen Morgan taking a huge majority of 15,311.

Stratford-On-Avon also has a Lib Dem MP – Manuela Perteghella who takes the Conservative seat with a majority of 7,122.
