Finchley and Golders Green 2024 general election results as Labor wins seat from Tories

Labour’s Sarah Sackman has been announced as the next MP for Finchley and Golders Green. The constituency’s new MP defeated Alex Deane, their Tory rival, at the polls during the general election by more than 21,000 votes to 17,276.

Finchley and Golders Green has an electorate of 77,500 and votes from 47 polling stations were counted at the RAF Museum in Colindale overnight (Thursday 4 July and Friday 5 July). In 2019, Mike Freer, who did not stand this time, won the seat for the Tories with a majority of 6,562.




He obtained 24,162 votes, i.e. a share of 43.8%. The Liberal Democrats came second with 31.9%. Labor received 24.2 percent.
