The 2024 Dulwich and West Norwood General Election results in Labor comfortably holding the seat

Labour’s Helen Hayes has been re-elected as MP for Dulwich and West Norwood. Hayes, 50, won by 27,356 votes.

Green Party candidate Pete Elliot, a former local councillor, came second with 8,567 votes. Leon Cook, the Conservative Party candidate, finished third with 3,873 votes. Liberal Democrat candidate Donna Harris, a local councillor, was fourth with 3,485 votes.




Hayes has been the Labor MP for Dulwich and West Norwood since 2015. At the previous election in 2019, she won 65.5% of the vote.

Dulwich and West Norwood covers parts of Brixton, Brockwell Park, most of Dulwich except East Dulwich, Herne Hill, Gipsy Hill and West Norwood.

Hayes’ victory was announced in the early hours of Friday (July 5) at The Lambeth Civic Center in Brixton, south London. Speaking after her victory on July 5, Hayes said: “I would like to thank every single person in Dulwich and West Norwood for voting to return me as the member of parliament for this great constituency.”

It was one of several Labor-held seats in London, while some Tory seats also turned red, including Croydon East and Finchley & Golders Green on a night when Prime Minister Rishi Sunak conceded defeat to Labor in about 4.45 in the morning, before the official. the overall result was in.
