Liverpool striker Luis Diaz happy with the fans’ chant

Liverpool forward Luis Diaz has revealed his gratitude for the song dedicated to him.

The Colombian international has enjoyed a very good season for the Anfield club, who are third in the Premier League.

While Daiz and his team-mates have little to play for this season, he will be raring to go against Aston Villa on Monday.

Standard Chartered Men’s Player of the Month for April, Diaz told the club’s press: “It’s something nice and special because every time we go out there we give it our all. To support the institution, the club. To do what I came to do from the first moment I arrived.

“I always wanted to perform well. I always wanted to be one of the best, trying to respect everyone. To see the fans singing that song, that beautiful song, leaves something very beautiful marked on you, to take as a memory.

“I’m very happy. I thank them a lot for what they do. I always go out on the field happy because I know I have all their support.”
