Donn Teeple, 80, dies after being hit by car at Coventry Acme

Donn Teeple was reportedly walking in a crosswalk at the Acme located at 3235 Manchester Road when he was struck by a Dodge Durango, Chief Coroner Gary Guenther said.

Teeple was later taken to Akron City Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:02 p.m. Wednesday.

It is not known if the driver has been identified or taken into custody. The Summit County Sheriff’s Office, which is handling the investigation, could not be reached Friday.
