The UK’s fastest and longest slip and slide, opening today in Cornwall

The fastest and longest slip and slide is set to open in Cornwall ahead of the summer season. The newest attraction at the Cornish Maize Maze and Fun Farm in Saltash is a massive 140m slide, which will open today (July 6) alongside a new Olympic-themed maze.

The fun farm is hosting a special slide and slide opening, with tickets costing £13 for an hour on the slide and entry to the farm. Spectator tickets will also be free for the first two weekends in July and will include entry to the farm, but time slots fill up fast.

After the early opening weekend, tickets for the slip and slide and entry to the fun farm for adults and children will cost £20, while spectators will pay £4. Visitors can also pet the farm animals, jump on the bouncy castles, go in the giant sand pit, climb the climbing frames or relax in the cafe. Tickets can be purchased online here.

The Cornish Maize Maze’s latest attraction joins four other epic slides in Cornwall which are taking bookings for the summer. Cornwall Slip and Slide at Atlantic Reach Resort, near Newquay, opened in May and features 350m slides.

Nearby family-run Giant Slip and Slide previously claimed to have the UK’s longest slide at 440 feet (about 132 metres), but has now been beaten by the Cornish Maize Maze slip and slide. Located near Winnards Perch, but originally located near Polzeath, the Giant Slip and Slide has been operating since 2017.
