Edmonton Green shopping center has announced its “captivating” summer event series themed around the sea.

Launched on July 25 to coincide with the start of the summer school holidays, the program offers a “vibrant calendar” of free activities for local families.

The program of events promises to provide visitors with fun and free events to entertain children during the summer holidays. Families are invited to embark on a journey of discovery through a series of engaging activities “designed to spark creativity, ignite imagination and foster a love of the ocean.”

Highlights include an eco-friendly craft workshop on Thursday, July 25, when aspiring artists of all ages can unleash their inner oceanographer by creating colorful jellyfish from recycled materials. These workshops not only promote creative expression, but also raise awareness of the importance of ocean conservation.

On Thursday, August 8, a mermaid story and a pirate treasure hunt will captivate audiences with fun tales of underwater wonders. Meanwhile, the pirate will lead families on a thrilling treasure hunt, complete with traditional sea urchins and a delightful reward.

And on Thursday, August 22, an innovative VR diving experience allows visitors to explore the breathtaking beauty of 14 diverse underwater habitats, swimming alongside playful dolphins and majestic whales, all from the comfort and safety of Edmonton Green Shopping Centre’s North Square! This incredible experience is completely free and does not require advance booking.

The marine-themed summer event series promises an unforgettable summer of discovery and entertainment for families of all ages. Whether you are an experienced sailor or a curious first timer, this program offers “something for everyone.”
