Fine tuned engine

Currently, the Royal Enfield Himalayan gets a 411 cc air-cooled engine that produces 24.3 PS and 32 Nm of torque. The Himalayan’s engine is adequately powered, but can feel underpowered at times. The engine could be fine-tuned to add more power and torque so the bike could become an all-rounder for commuting, touring and off-roading.

Weight reduction

The bike weighs 199 kg which makes it a bit heavy. The bike needs to reduce the weight by about eight to nine kg so that the bike becomes lighter. This will affect the Himalayan’s performance and mileage in a positive way. This will also improve the handling and handling of the bike while riding on asphalt as well as off-road.

Royal Enfield Himalayan Cluster Fully Digital

The Royal Enfield Himalayan gets a partially digital instrument cluster. A fully digital TFT display, something we see on the KTM 390 Adventure would be good to see on the Himalayas. A fully digital instrument cluster will also improve the looks of the bike and attract more buyers.

Better ground clearance

Another aspect that Royal Enfield could improve on in the Himalaya is the ground clearance. The Himalayan is an adventure bike with a ground clearance of 220mm, which is barely adequate for an adventure bike. The seat height is perfect, but the ground clearance needs to be increased by 10mm to 15mm. During the ride, the bike gets some debris from its belly and the same could be avoided with better ground clearance.

Royal Enfield might also introduce some modern electronics to the Himalayan. Features like ride-by-wire, traction control and Bluetooth connectivity are some of the modern features we expect to see in the new Himalayan.
