Euro 2024: England fans celebrate victory over Switzerland in Bristol

England fans celebrated the team’s quarter-final victory in Bristol this evening. Fans basked in the sunshine as England took on Switzerland in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024.

After a tense game left the teams tied 1-1 at the end of extra time, the lion team scored all five penalties. Cole Palmer was first and scored for England, setting the tone for the shootout.

Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford helped the team to an early lead as he saved the first shot from Switzerland’s Manuel Akanji. Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka and Ivan Toney then followed suit with three more goals, leaving Trent Alexander-Arnold to fire into the back of the net for an easy win.

England’s next game will take place on Wednesday 10 July at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund, with kick-off set for 8pm. On the opposite side of the arm, Spain and France will go head-to-head in the other semi-final.
