Leicester City signed De Cordova-Reid on a free transfer

Leicester City have signed winger Bobby De Cordova-Reid from Fulham on a three-year deal.

The 31-year-old moves to the King Power Stadium on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract.

De Cordova-Reid will bring valuable experience to the newly promoted Foxes, having made 129 top-flight appearances during spells with Fulham and Cardiff City, and becomes new manager Steve Cooper’s first summer signing.

De Cordova-Reid told the club’s official website: “Coming here was a special moment, looking around and seeing the infrastructure. It has that wow factor. It feels good. I’m excited to be here and can’t wait to get started.

“I had a good talk with the manager, he told me the vision of the club. I talked to him a few times and it was very clear to me what he wanted and what he saw in me. He believes in me and is a perfect fit for me.”

De Cordova-Reid will not be present for the start of pre-season training on Monday as he represented Jamaica at the Copa America and has been given some time off.

When he links up with Leicester, further squad additions are likely to follow, with the club close to signing Chelsea midfielder Michael Golding, Atalanta centre-half Caleb Okoli, as well as making Abdul Fatawu’s loan deal permanent.
