BBC and Met Office weather verdicts as Liverpool to feel ‘colder’

Weather experts from the BBC and the Met Office have given their forecasts as temperatures start to cool in Liverpool this week.

After a scorching weekend, temperatures drop slightly with some intervals of rain. We can expect highs of 19C in the city and other parts of Merseyside today (May 13), but things should feel a little cooler thanks to the rain.

The BBC reports that these highs will remain in place throughout the week, not dropping below 17C, while the Met Office is predicting highs of just under 15C at the weekend.

BBC experts are predicting highs of 18C and light drizzle on Friday and Saturday. The Met Office forecast paints a slightly different picture, with highs of 15C these days, with “cloudy” conditions on Saturday.

However, both forecasters seem to agree that the chance of intermittent rain will continue throughout the week until Monday, May 20.

The Met Office outlook for Wednesday-Friday reads: “Unsettled with sunny spells and showers. Showers may be heavy and possibly thundery at times. Still warm where you catch the sun, although feeling colder than last week.”
