The manager of Coventry vets has celebrated 40 years in the job

The practice manager at Broad Lane Vets celebrated his 40th birthday working at the practice.

The training team marked the occasion with a party for Lisa Madden, with her previous bosses Roy and hands Roger.

The party had a specially designed cake, flowers and the award if a long lasting medal.

Lisa first went to practice as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award while still at school.

She continued to volunteer at Broad Lane until she was old enough to gain a place as a veterinary medical student.

Then, after qualifying as an RVN, she progressed to become Chief Veterinary Nurse and later Practice Manager.

Elly said: “Lisa started her career here in 1984 when it was a traditional mixed practice, often assisting vets on farm visits before rushing back to help with evening small animal surgery and attending emergencies over night as needed.

“The practice has changed enormously over the years, but Lisa remains an absolute linchpin here.”
