Live M1 traffic updates as lanes close following crash

Three lanes are closed on the M1 following a car crash this afternoon.

According to traffic management system Inrix, there are three lanes closed following an accident on the M1 Northbound. This happened close to junction 31 of the A57 Worksop Road.

Two cars were involved in the crash and lanes one, two and three are closed. Lane four remains open, but queuing traffic builds up as a result.

It is not yet known if anyone was injured in the accident.

Inrix said: “Three lanes closed and traffic queued due to crash, two vehicles involved on M1 Northbound at J31 A57 Worksop Road (Sheffield / Worksop).

“Balls one, two and three (of four) are closed.”
