EuroMillions jackpot of £33m claimed by UK player

A claim has been made for the £33 million EuroMillions jackpot from Friday’s draw, organizers have confirmed. Allwyn, the operator of the National Lottery, has revealed that just one UK ticket holder has come forward to claim the entire £33,078,306.60 prize.

The lucky winner matched all five main numbers – 11, 13, 29, 31 and 47, as well as the two lucky stars of 01 and 11.

The EuroMillions claim will now go through a standard validation process before any prize is paid out during a meeting with one of the National Lottery winners’ advisors. Once the ticket has been validated and the prize has been paid, the ticket holder will decide whether or not they want to make their news public.

It comes after another single ticket holder won the £15m Lotto Must Be Won jackpot on Saturday, which has yet to be claimed. A total of five millionaires were created in the Lotto and EuroMillions draws over the weekend, with three additional players each receiving £1m.

Andy Carter, National Lottery Senior Winners Adviser, said: “What a great weekend with a huge crowd of winners walking away with a win.

“Over two million prizes were won in just these two draws over two days which is amazing and we urge all players to check their tickets to see if they are a Lotto or EuroMillions winner.”

He concluded by saying: “The big EuroMillions winner will now receive our full support through the validation process and help enable them to quickly start enjoying their truly life-changing win.”
