Confirmed: Leicester City secure transfer for Chelsea starlet

Leicester City have confirmed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Michael Golding. The 18-year-old had been tipped to join the Foxes in a deal which was completed separately to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s £30m move to Stamford Bridge.

The highly-rated teenager has signed a four-year deal, having made an excellent reputation with his performances for Chelsea’s Under-18s and Under-21s in recent seasons.




England youth ace Golding has been on Chelsea’s books for six years and made his senior debut in the FA Cup in January. He was only on the pitch for nine minutes, but he came close to scoring and scoring.

Speaking to Foxes Hub, he said: “I’m looking forward to making leaps and bounds in my career here at Leicester and working hard to help the team as much as I can.

“Obviously the history of the Club speaks for itself; there are great players here and I’m looking to gather as much information as possible from the senior players, learn from the staff and hopefully have a great season.”

The club say of the player that “… he joins with international pedigree and a growing reputation as a creative player with an eye for goal.
