E-bike is seized in Cornwall ‘after traffic offences’

An electric bike has been seized in Cornwall after the rider was reported for several traffic offences, police have said.

Callington Police, outer said the e-bike was seized in Saltash Road Recreation Park on Saturday.

Police said the rider was “riding in an anti-social manner” and the bike was seized under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act, outerwhich refers to vehicles being used in a manner which causes alarm, distress or annoyance.

The offenses included driving otherwise in accordance with a license, driving a mechanically propelled vehicle elsewhere than on roads and driving without insurance, they added.
