Liam Cooper wanted by three Championship clubs

Leeds United look set to lose Liam Cooper and now the Yorkshire Evening Post claim three Championship sides are keen.

Leeds United have seen a number of players leave the club after their contracts expired, but one man expected to stay is captain Liam Cooper.

Talks have been ongoing between the 32-year-old and the club, but reports said last week that he is now set to leave after the relevant parties could not reach an agreement.

Official confirmation is yet to come, but Cooper is out of contract so is free to negotiate with other clubs.

Now, he is said to be interested in the championship.

The Yorkshire Evening Post claim an unnamed trio of Championship clubs are keen to sign Cooper after his contract at Leeds United expires.

Scotland international Cooper has been at Elland Road since 2014 when he signed from Chesterfield. Pastures new await now, but may remain in the second tier.
