Fourth man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after Leicester park stabbing

A fourth man has been arrested after a stabbing in Braunstone Park. Leicestershire Police said the 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Officers from the force were called to the park in Braunstone by East Midlands Ambulance Service at around 3pm on Thursday, May 2. A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment after being stabbed, police said.



His injury was not considered life-threatening, the force said. The 21-year-old arrested has since been released on bail.

Three other men, a 26-year-old and two 21-year-olds, were previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident. All three have been released on bail, the force said.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, he added. Anyone with information who has not yet spoken to officers is asked to call 101 or pass information through their website quoting 24*256536.
