Former Super League veteran Gareth Widdop suffers horrific skin injury for Halifax Panthers against Sheffield Eagles – Total Rugby League

Former Super League veteran Gareth Widdop posted a photo on social media after suffering a horrific skin condition for Halifax Panthers as they faced Sheffield Eagles on Friday night.

Widdop, who signed for his hometown club after two years with Castleford Tigers in the Super League, was part of the Fax side that lost 28-0 to Sheffield on Friday night.

However, if the result wasn’t bad enough to take him home to The Shay, then the consequences of the 4G pitch at Sheffield’s Olympic Legacy Park.

A horrendous burn-like skin problem is present on Widdop’s leg and knee, which looks incredibly painful.
