After witnessing the rise in demand for electric vehicles in India, top player Royal Enfield now seems all set to enter this segment. The company is preparing to introduce an electric motorcycle, which will break the cap by the end of 2025.

Ahead of the official release, a patent design has surfaced online, revealing the overall styling and some of the key elements. Currently, it is not known under what name the model will be called in the future. However, internally it is known as electrik01.

Design

RE’s e-bike looks quite similar to the classic range, with a completely new design and fresh aesthetics. Going by the image, the brand’s upcoming electric offering is expected to come with a modern retro look as seen in the photos.

The patent photos show an aggressive styling statement that features a round-shaped headlight, sleek alloy wheels paired with disc breaks at both ends.

Experimental suspension configuration

The photo also revealed an interesting suspension setup. It features beam forks, which were used in the 1920s. The battery-powered model is expected to come with a single seat. However, a concrete confirmation is yet to be shared by the RF.

Talking about the rear section, it has been completed with mudguards with round shaped indicators and tail light (similar to Classic). When it comes to the location of the battery, it is probably installed between the chassis.

Battery

As for the battery capacity details, everything is still under wraps. Some reports have suggested that the electric bike could offer impressive power, which will be transferred to the rear wheel via a belt drive approach.
