The new 410 cc Royal Enfield engine

Royal Enfield’s new generation engines are something that fans are looking forward to. The new 410cc engine has been photographed and while detailed specifications are still unknown, basic engine information is available.

This all-new engine is a 410cc single-cylinder, air-cooled unit with an oil cooler. It has a single overhead camshaft (SOHC) and produces around 24bhp of peak power. Peak torque is believed to be over 30Nm, which sounds good. Royal Enfield is likely to use a five-speed gearbox for this engine.

The new engine will be seen for the first time on the soon-to-be-launched Himalayan adventure bike. The 410cc engine will be on duty on all versions of the Himalayan, which is expected to come in two variants. One of the variants will be an on/off road bike, while the other is expected to be a city version. The engine specifications of the two variants will be identical.

Royal Enfield has high expectations from the Himalayan, as does the new engine, which will give the company a new impetus and power other models to be launched in the future. There is also news of a twin-cylinder 750 engine developed by Royal Enfield. The 750cc engine will compete with Harley Davidson and Triumph, taking Royal Enfield to a whole new level in the market.
