Coventry pubs showing England’s crucial Euro 2024 semi-final match

Excitement is running high for England at Euro 2024. The national team reached the semi-finals after drawing 1-1 with Switzerland but won on penalties on Saturday 6 July.

All eyes will be on tomorrow’s (July 10) 8pm match against the Netherlands for a place in the Euro 2024 finals with a chance to ‘bring it home’. Team members such as Jude Bellingham and Buyako Saka were hailed as “heroes” by scoring goals and penalties to help the national team progress despite “disappointing” performances in the early stages.




As many sports fans prepare for the match, many Coventry pubs will be showing semi-final highlights. We’ve put together a guide below on where you can watch crucial Euro Cup action live from the city. Come on England!

The HMV empire

The HMV Empire entertainment venue has been described as Coventry’s “number one area for fans” to watch the semi-finals, with free tickets and a free adult drink from Carling, Orchard Pig Cider, Tetley’s, any bottled beer or large soft drink . There is also a bottomless ticket for under 18s for unlimited soft drinks on tap.

The bars will be open from 5pm, with four cinema screens and TVs complemented by the city’s ‘biggest sound system’. There will also be 2-4-1 cocktails, free chips and soft drinks for kids, a family seating area and concessions and a DJ before and after the game.

Singing and singing are considered ‘essential’ and flags welcome, with England flags and hats provided for the occasion, food vendors will also be available outside the venue.
