First look at the new Nuneaton school under construction as announced by the headteacher

A new Nuneaton school is starting to appear on the horizon as building work continues. construction work continues. Huge steels are now on the ground in Top Farm, which will be the home of Higham Lane North Academy.

Sister to nearby Higham Lane School, the new academy is due to open by September next year in a brand new building. It was only a matter of weeks ago that the ground breaking ceremony took place at the site, off the High Lane.




Now a new image taken at the site shows the huge new building starting to take shape. It was released to coincide with the announcement of who will be the new principal at the school.

Kirstie Robinson, who is currently deputy headteacher at Higham Lane School, will lead the new 11-16 secondary school, which will be part of the Central England Academy Trust.

Ben Elliott, the trust’s chief financial officer, said: “As part of the original team that successfully tendered for the new free school and has led all aspects of the school’s delivery over a number of years, we are confident that Ms . Robinson’s vision for Higham Lane North Academy, combined with her wealth of experience, proven track record of excellence in educational leadership and her outstanding ability to inspire both students and staff, will lead our new school to a successful opening and beyond.

“Throughout her career, Ms. Robinson has demonstrated a remarkable ability to inspire both students and staff, and we are excited about the positive impact she will have on the development of our new school.”
