Liverpool look set to have a busy summer transfer window if the latest rumor mill has any basis in fact.

The Reds are being linked with a number of potential new signings for when the window reopens. It already promises to be a busy few months as the post-Jurgen Klopp era begins.

Klopp is set to leave at the end of the season and is expected to be replaced by Arne Slot in the Anfield dugout. And now reports are starting to emerge regarding players who could be signed ahead of Slot’s first season in charge.

Luis Diaz

Barcelona have reportedly moved on from showing interest in Luis Diaz to identifying an alternative target. The La Liga giants have been heavily linked with a move for the Liverpool winger over the past month.

But according to Spanish news outlet Sport, Barcelona have decided it is “100% unaffordable” to complete a deal to sign the Colombia international. As a result, the Camp Nou club have turned their attention to signing Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams as an alternative.

Williams has also been linked with a move to the Reds in the past. The 21-year-old signed a new contract with Bilbao in December which keeps him tied to the La Liga club until 2027.

Mohamed Amoura

Elsewhere, one of the latest rumors centers around Union Saint-Gilloise striker Mohamed Amoura. Reports in recent weeks have claimed that Liverpool are interested in signing Amoura, and now an update has emerged.

According to German news outlet Kicker, Bundesliga club Wolfsburg have also joined the race to sign the 24-year-old, who scored against the Reds for Union Saint-Gilloise in this season’s Europa League.

But it has been claimed that despite Wolfsburg expressing an interest in signing Amoura, they will face competition from Liverpool. The report states that the Reds will offer “rich competition” to Wolfsburg for the Algerian international.

Dani Olmo

Meanwhile, according to Spanish news outlet Sport, Liverpool are one of a number of clubs showing an interest in signing Dani Olmo this summer. It has been claimed that Olmo could leave RB Leipzig at the end of the season, with the Premier League a potential destination.

The report claims the Reds are joined by Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City City in expressing an interest in signing the 26-year-old Spain international.

Teun Koopmeiners

Liverpool, meanwhile, look set to face stiff competition in the race to sign Teun Koopmeiners this summer. The Reds have been heavily linked with the Atalanta midfielder in recent months, with speculation intensifying in recent weeks.

According to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, Juventus are favorites to sign Koopmeiners when the transfer window opens. It has been claimed that the Serie A giants have made the midfielder one of their top targets for the summer.

The report claims Liverpool are in the race to sign Koopmeiners, who will have a “strong” interest in fellow Dutchman Slot coming in as manager. However, it has been claimed that negotiations are already taking place between Juventus and the player’s representatives, but there is no word on whether a deal is close to being agreed.
