Tickets to go on sale for Birmingham’s Food Plus Culture Festival

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The Birmingham FOOD+Culture Festival will bring four days of food, fun and music in its second running this fall.

The festival will be held from Sept. 19 through 22. Tickets for the event will go on sale Wednesday at 10 am with special early bird pricing available for ticket buyers through the end of July.


Festival organizers and guests will spend the days celebrating Birmingham’s rich culinary traditions and vibrant food culture alongside live music and entertainment.

Over 100 local and nationally acclaimed chefs will be present, such as TV personality Carla Hall, seven-time James Beard Award nominee and Birmingham chef Timothy Hontzas and “Top Chef” winner Kelsey Barnard Clark of Dothan.

The festival schedule includes the following events:

  • FOOD+Friends Dinner Series (September 13-21)
  • FOOD+Frank: The Frank Stitt Award for Industry Excellence (Sept. 19, 5:30 pm to 8 pm at Birmingham Museum of Art)
  • FOOD+Heritage (Sept. 20, 6 pm to 10 pm at Pepper Place on 29th St. S.)
  • FOOD+Market Mix (Sept. 21, 7 am to noon at The Market at Pepper Place)
  • Southern Living’s FOOD+Fire (Sept. 21, noon to 5 pm at Sloss Furnaces)
  • FOOD+Funk: Grits and Grooves (Sept. 22, 11:30 am to 2:00 pm at Sloss Furnaces)
