Premier League boss drops mystery transfer hint on Leeds United striker

Everton boss Sean Dyche is “hopeful” his side can secure the permanent signing of Leeds United’s Jack Harrison.

The 27-year-old arrived at Goodison Park on a temporary deal last summer following the Whites’ relegation to the Championship in 2022/23. Aston Villa were also credited with an interest at the time, before Everton secured his loan signing.

The Leeds man went on to play a major role in Everton’s push for Premier League survival, making 29 appearances, 25 of which came in the starting line-up. Harrison currently has three goals and three assists to his name as Dyche’s side sit 15th despite the two point deductions.

Harrison missed the early stages of the 2023/24 campaign with a hip injury and will now miss the end of the season with a hamstring strain. He was left out of the matchday squad to face Sheffield United in the last game, with Dyche commenting on his future after the 1-0 win.

“We’ll wait and see,” the Everton boss said. “The first thing was to make sure we’re safe, then once we’re safe, we can reassess the internal truth with the financial side of what we can do, so it’s an ongoing process.”

According to the ECHO, Harrison has become a key member of the Everton squad and earned Dyche’s trust both on and off the pitch. Dyche says Harrison is unlikely to play again this season due to injury.
