League One and League Two retained lists: Bristol Rovers free agents can target them this summer

The deadline for EFL clubs to submit their retained lists after the 2023/24 season is fast approaching and is expected to be on Saturday (May 18). Bristol Rovers and a number of their League One counterparts have been quick to reveal who will be leaving the club, which will no doubt be of interest to other sides.

Of course, given the scale of the recruitment job facing the Gas this summer, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see some of those names posing in a Rovers shirt outside The Quarters in the coming months. Gas will need to hit the free agent market to afford what could turn out to be an overhaul of 10 players or more.

It won’t just be Rovers though, with all non-Championship clubs likely to use the free agent pool as a market and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see at least one of the seven players released by Gas. Mem as an opposition player next season.

With the play-offs yet to be completed in either division of the EFL, there are still a handful of clubs in the third and fourth tiers who have yet to submit their retained lists, but for now, here are all the released players. so far.
